Home made BBQ sauce:
1 tbsp canola oil
2 small onions, diced
4 cloves garlic
1 6oz can tomato paste
18 oz water (fill the can 3 times)
dry mustard to taste.. (I don't measure).. but probably at least 3 tbspabout
2 tbsp molasses (again, to taste)
a tiny bit of Stevia
about 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 capful liquid smoke
salt/pepper
Louisiana Hot Sauce to taste
around 2 tbsp Vegan Worcestershire sauce..
basically.. saute the onion and garlic and a pinch of salt in the oil... until nice and fragrant.. then add the tomato paste. Allow it to caramelize for several minutes, then deglaze with the water and vinegar. Add the dry spices and remaining ingredients.
